The team behind the CG short anime Babies of Bread (Japanese title: Pan no Aka-chan), a Japanese production by CHOCOLATE Inc., announced last Saturday that the series will be developed into a stop-motion television series, with the first episode airing on July 4. The team also released a new promotional video for fans to enjoy.

This new installment is co-produced by CHOCOLATE Inc. and dwarf studios. Haruka Ichikawa returns as director, screenwriter, and series planner. Riki Fuhrmann is responsible for character design, while Takao Oki returns as composer.

Synopsis
The story is set in a bakery located in the middle of a town, surrounded by little “bread babies.” Whether they are cream buns, baguettes, doughnuts, or croissants, they must all band together to deal with a thief who has broken into the shop.
The original CG short debuted on YouTube in November 2024 and attracted enough viewer interest to lead to this full television series adaptation.
