The manga 「Donten Danshi, Seiten Joshi.」 (Cloudy-Sky Boy, Sunny-Sky Girl), a work by Sumizome Kiyoshi, has just released Volume 1 in e-book format on May 22, under the Jirumite label from publisher forcs.
Story Synopsis
The story centres on Amazawa Kanata, a middle school student whose life has been plagued by bad luck since childhood. His parents, who were addicted to gambling, vanished and left him to live with his grandmother in poverty. The hardships of that life left him with no friends, and he failed his high school entrance exams to boot. Kanata sees his own life as perpetually overcast — “a cloudy sky” — without end.
Everything begins to change when he meets Hiyori, a girl who radiates a brilliant “sunny sky” warmth. That encounter sparks the beginning of a youth story brimming with warmth and hope.
