The Dorohedoro anime team officially announced last Wednesday that the series will continue with Season 3. The announcement was made alongside the broadcast of the season 2 finale.

Director Yuichiro Hayashi shared a special commemorative illustration to mark the occasion, depicting Haru singing as a symbol of what is to come in the next installment.

In addition, TOHO animation officially released the music video for the season 2 opening theme “Zettai Must Danmen” performed by (K)NoW_NAME. Season 2 had originally been scheduled to premiere in 2025.

Story Summary

Dorohedoro is adapted from the manga by Q Hayashida, with the English edition published by Viz Media. The story is set in a grim, foreboding place known as “the Hole” — a world where sorcerers kidnap humans to use as test subjects for dark magic. One day, Nikaido encounters Caiman, a man with a reptile head who has lost his memories. Together they hunt down sorcerers in the Hole, searching for a way to break his curse — until En, the boss of a powerful sorcerer family, learns of the lizard-headed man who has been killing his kin, and sends a “cleaner” squad into the Hole, igniting a war between two worlds.
