劇場版モノノ怪 (Gekijouban Mononoke), the anime film trilogy drawing attention in Japan and overseas, will launch a special limited-time collaboration for wireless earbuds.
About Gekijouban Mononoke
Mononoke (モノノ怪) is an anime work that has continued to be loved by fans since its television broadcast in the 2000s. The story follows the mysterious Medicine Seller, who wanders the land to exorcise mononoke, evil spirits born from human grudges and deeply buried emotions.
The new film trilogy began in 2024 with 劇場版モノノ怪 唐傘 (Karakasa), which achieved an impressively long theatrical run. It was followed by the second chapter, 劇場版モノノ怪 第二章 火鼠 (Hinezumi), which opened in March 2025 and drew praise for its character development, advanced visuals, and more intense story. Both films also won the Audience Award for Best Animated Feature at Canada’s Fantasia International Film Festival for two consecutive years.
The third chapter, 劇場版モノノ怪 第三章 蛇神 (Jagami), is scheduled to open across Japan on May 29, 2026. It will reveal the greatest secret long hidden inside the Ooku, including the truth behind the birth of the Ooku and painful emotions that cross time and converge. When the Medicine Seller confronts that truth, the most terrifying mononoke in the series will appear, leading to an unpredictable grand finale.
Gekijouban Mononoke Collaboration CP-TWS01B Wireless Earbuds
For this special occasion, Gekijouban Mononoke has teamed with Onkyo to release the CP-TWS01B true wireless stereo earbuds designed especially for fans.
- Newly recorded voice lines: The earbuds include seven guidance phrases from “Shingi” (神儀), voiced by Hiroshi Kamiya (神谷浩史), under the supervision of series general director Kenji Nakamura. Examples include the power-on line “清め…鎮める…” (Purify… pacify…) and the disconnection line “お前を斬る” (I will cut you down).
- Product design: The top of the charging case features a silhouette of Shingi, while the left and right earbuds are decorated with motifs inspired by Shingi, beautifully evoking the world of the work.
- Special bonus: The earbuds come with a chirimen pouch inspired by Shingi’s kimono.
A wireless charging pad in the Gekijouban Mononoke collaboration line will also be sold at the same time.
