June 8 is the birthday of Miyano Mamoru (宮野真守), the celebrated voice actor and singer known to anime fans around the world.
Career Highlights
Miyano Mamoru began his voice acting career in 2001, dubbing foreign series such as I Am Caitlin, and quickly rose to become one of the industry’s leading male voice actors. He has won the Best Lead Actor award at the Voice Actor Awards twice — in the 2nd ceremony — and the Best Supporting Actor award at the 6th ceremony, the same year he also received a singing award as part of ST★RISH. At the 8th ceremony he won for Best Solo Singer, and at the 14th he received the Influencer Award.

As a singer, he has also scheduled the release of a live Blu-ray, “MAMORU MIYANO ASIA LIVE TOUR 2025-2026 ～VACATIONING!～”, on June 10. From June 12 onward, he will also perform in a stage production by the theater troupe 劇団★新感線 titled “アケチコ!～蒸気の黒ダイヤ、あるいは狂気の島～”.
