The TV anime 「一式さんは恋を知りたい。」(Isshiki-san wa Koi wo Shiritai.), adapted from the manga by Arajiri Ayune, has officially announced a broadcast date in January 2027, along with the main voice cast and the first teaser PV.
About the Series
“Isshiki-san wa Koi wo Shiritai.” is a heartwarming romantic comedy following Isshiki Rinna Milford, a 17-year-old female detective chief inspector who is serious, straightforward, and has never known love — and Rokutanda Mechi, a delinquent boy with a good heart. The two begin “studying” together to unravel the mystery of why Rinna’s heart races every time she is near Mechi.
Teaser PV and Voice Cast
The newly released teaser PV shows animated footage for the first time, capturing a “bold” side of Rinna and the moment she begins to encounter unfamiliar feelings when she is with Mechi. The voices of both main characters are also heard for the first time.

During recording, there were moments when I unexpectedly discovered new angles of myself without meaning to. Meeting new people and learning about yourself in new ways is something truly precious. Seeing Rinna — who was always so tough and brave — slowly grow and encounter “love” through her relationship with Mechi made me feel that even more deeply. For me, Rinna is a character who makes me genuinely want to play the role that bears her name. I hope everyone will join her on her journey to happiness!

I’m thrilled to be a part of the “Isshiki-san wa Koi wo Shiritai.” anime! I was so happy to get the role of Mechi — from the very first recording session, the atmosphere in the booth was wonderful, and it felt like the team had been working together all season already.
