The anime film 「青春ブタ野郎はゆめみる少女の夢を見ない」(Seishun Buta Yarou wa Yumemiru Shoujo no Yume wo Minai) is set for a nationwide revival screening in theaters across Japan during June 15–21.
This revival run is being held as a warm-up event ahead of the theatrical premiere of 「青春ブタ野郎はディアフレンドの夢を見ない」(Seishun Buta Yarou wa Dear Friend no Yume wo Minai), the concluding chapter of the entire “Aobuta” series. Attendees will receive a limited-edition special gift featuring new mini shikishi illustration cards drawn by Tamura Satomi, the character designer for the series.
Special 7th-Anniversary Screening Event
Beyond the revival screenings, there will be a special theatrical event titled 「劇場アニメ『青春ブタ野郎はゆめみる少女の夢を見ない』公開7周年記念スペシャル上映会」 on June 15 at Shinjuku Wald 9 in Tokyo, celebrating the 7th anniversary of the film’s original theatrical premiere on June 15, 2019.
The following voice cast members will appear on stage for a talk session:
- Ishikawa Kaito — voices Azusagawa Sakuta
- Setou Asami — voices Sakurajima Mai
- Minase Inori — voices Makinohara Shouko
All three will share their memories from working on this first film in the series, as well as talk about the upcoming Dear Friend chapter.

Priority lottery tickets for the special event are available via Ticket Pia until June 7 at 11:59 PM. General ticket sales begin on June 9 at 10:00 AM.
