นักพากย์ทีวีAnime Uchi no Otōto-domo ga Sumimasen ร่วมทอล์กโชว์ในงานพรีเมียร์ที่โตเกียว

On May 24, a premiere screening event for TV anime 「うちの弟どもがすみません」 (Uchi no Ototo-domo ga Sumimasen) was held at United Cinema AquaCity Odaiba in Tokyo. Before the screening, an enthusiastic talk show was held featuring all five voice cast members: Ozora Naomi (voicing Narita Ito), Masuda Toshiki (voicing Narita Minamoto), Yashiro Taku (voicing Narita Raku), Onono Kensho (voicing Narita Shu), and Terasawa Momoka (voicing Narita Rui).

About the Anime

The series is adapted from the manga by Ozaki Akira, serialized in Betsuma Margaret magazine by Shueisha. The story follows Ito, a high school girl who becomes the older sister figure to four brothers with wildly different personalities after her mother remarries — a heartwarming romantic comedy that forms the core of the series.

  • Narita Ito — a hardworking, straightforward high-school girl (voiced by Ozora Naomi)
  • Narita Minamoto — the eldest brother, rough-looking but deeply caring of family (voiced by Masuda Toshiki)
  • Narita Raku — the second brother, gentle and cool-headed (voiced by Yashiro Taku)
  • Narita Shu — the third brother, introverted and reserved (voiced by Onono Kensho)
  • Narita Rui — the youngest brother, cheerful and adorable (voiced by Terasawa Momoka)

The event also revealed that Onono Daisuke will voice the father, Narita Isao, and Endo Aya will voice the mother, Narita Saho. Ozora Naomi shared her delight at having previously worked with Endo on the mother-daughter dynamic in another project, so this reunion felt especially meaningful.

Highlights from Episodes 1–2

The event featured the world premiere screening of the second PV, and each cast member shared impressions of their character. Onono Kensho revealed that his character Shu barely speaks in the early episodes, as Shu is reserved and communicates mainly through handwritten notes — and invited fans to watch carefully for where Shu might quietly appear in the background. Masuda Toshiki noted that one highlight not to miss is the sound of Minamoto’s “Chi!” (a sharp tongue-click) — which is surprisingly satisfying to listen to — while Ozora also warned fans that a certain scene might be unexpectedly moving.

Yashiro Taku expressed particular affection for his character Raku, saying that every time Terasawa voiced Rui, Yashiro was often smiling nearby out of pure charm — because Rui is such an uncomplicated and sweet kid, and Yashiro noted, “It really suits him perfectly.”

The “Emergency Apology Press Conference” Highlight

One of the most memorable event segments was the “Emergency Apology Press Conference,” in which each cast member had to bow and apologize in character while explaining their character’s appeal.

  • Ozora Naomi: “I apologize that Ito will drag everyone onto a crowded train at rush hour! She’s pure and direct, like sunlight. Even in a perfectly fine mood, she can burst into tears — she’s so lovable.”
  • Masuda Toshiki: “I apologize that Minamoto goes full gorilla mode!” (making the whole venue erupt with laughter) before clarifying that Minamoto is actually a very good person — just with a scary face and sharp tongue. “Please watch till the end; you’ll see his good side.”
  • Yashiro Taku: Apologized for Raku looking as though he’s giving serious advice, when really he’s quietly enjoying the situation. “There are times you can’t be sure if he’s helping or just teasing — that’s Raku’s charm.”
  • Onono Kensho: “I apologize that Shu will make everyone want to cheer him on way too much!” He explained that Shu keeps something hidden, and as the story progresses, there will be a moment when he steps forward — and fans will want to cheer him on with all their hearts.
  • Terasawa Momoka: “I apologize that Rui is so cute it will make everyone fall in love!” Amid the laughter of the other cast members, she explained that Rui is a character with an irresistible natural charm — like a tiny idol without even trying.

A Genuine Family

In the closing segment, all cast members spoke about the deep connection they felt with this work as a family story. Terasawa felt that beyond the central couple’s chemistry, there are also warm and emotional scenes that can bring tears, noting that the story “gradually draws all five characters into feeling like one real family.” Yashiro added that even during voice recording sessions, he felt a strong urge to protect each character’s emotional world.

Masuda closed by saying the work made him want to cherish family and those around him again, and that after watching both seasons, viewers will feel increasingly invested in each character’s relationships. He ended with Ozora leading all cast members in a final bow as they said “すみません! (Sorry!)” in unison.
