The TV anime “Uchi no Ototo-domo ga Sumimasen” (Sorry, My Brothers Are Such a Handful), based on the manga by Akira Ozaki, has released its second promotional video and announced two additional voice cast members.

Daisuke Ono and Aya Endo Join as the Narita Parents

Daisuke Ono will voice Isao Narita, the father of the Narita household, while Aya Endo will voice Saho Narita, the mother. The two voice actors have previously worked together as husband-and-wife or couple pairings in foreign film dubbing on several occasions.

Daisuke Ono commented that he is delighted to take on the role of Isao, especially because it reunites him with director Namba whom he has collaborated with before, and that he is thrilled to have Aya Endo reprising the role of his wife once again. He added: “The atmosphere in the recording studio is warm and friendly — both the staff and the cast share the same warm feeling. I hope that warmth comes through in the anime.”

Aya Endo said: “Anyone who has read the original manga will understand why you just can’t stop smiling. Every time I come to the studio I feel so lucky to have met such a wonderful family — both the characters and my fellow cast members make me incredibly happy.”

Opening and Ending Themes Announced

The opening theme “アイコトバ” (Aikotoba) is performed by DISH//, and the ending theme “Clover” is performed by Reira Shio. Both songs are previewed in the second PV.

Kitamura Takumi, frontman of DISH//, said he was genuinely surprised to receive the offer and hopes the song will serve as the “unsealing of the story” in its role as opening theme, reflecting the lives of Ito and everyone in her new family. He added that the common language and words that grow from becoming a family together are filled with love.

Reira Shio shared that she has a personal connection to the theme of family, which is why she resonated so deeply with the series. She tried to weave her own feelings into the lyrics while staying anchored to the original work, describing the song as a “four-leaf clover” — rare to find, but sure to bring happiness.
