The staff of the television anime Always a Catch! (Japanese full title: Nigashita Sakana wa Ōkikatta ga Tsuriageta Sakana ga Ōkisugita Ken), based on the novels by Mayo Momoyo, has announced a new cast member. Kana Hanazawa will play Syra, a mysterious woman who appears to have a grudge against the main character Maria. The character first appeared in episode 10, which aired in Japan on Thursday.
Synopsis
Always a Catch! is a chaotic romantic comedy about Maria Annovazzi, the daughter of a duke who grew up believing she would inherit her father’s title. She trained hard in martial arts and became highly skilled, but the arrival of her younger brother caused her to lose her inheritance rights.
When Maria decides it is time to find a marriage partner, she realizes she is already too late. She travels to a neighboring country to study abroad and try her luck, only to have that country’s crown prince publicly declare their engagement annulled, even though Maria had no idea she was engaged to him in the first place. The truth is that the prince had mistaken her for someone else, but once the situation is cleared up and he sees Maria take down an entire gang of thieves with her bare hands, he seems to fall for her unique charm.
