The Kagurabachi anime will give fans around the world an early look at its first episode through special screenings at several major anime events from July to August 2025, ahead of the series’ official broadcast in April 2027.
World Tour Schedule
Events that will screen the first episode of Kagurabachi include Anime Expo, Japan Expo Paris, and AnimagiC in July, followed by Anime NYC in August. Some events will also feature special panels with guests including Taihi Kimura, the lead voice actor playing Chihiro Rokuhira; Takuro Imamura, the manga editor; Riki Azuma, cross-media producer; and Koichi Yasuda, producer.

About the Original Manga
Kagurabachi, by Hokazono, began serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in September 2023. The series currently has more than 4 million copies in circulation, with over 2.2 million copies in the market as of May 2025. Shueisha released volume 11 in Japan on May 1.
English readers can follow the series through Viz Media’s Shonen Jump digital service and Shueisha’s MANGA Plus. Viz Media also publishes the print edition, with volume 7 released on May 5.
Brief Synopsis
Young Chihiro spends his days training under his father, a famous swordsmith. He dreams of becoming a great swordsmith himself. The playful father and serious son both think these days will last forever, but one day, tragedy strikes. A blood-soaked day changes everything, and Chihiro and his blade live only for revenge – a fierce sword-battle action story!
