ฉากดอกไม้ไฟในAnime 5 เรื่องบน ABEMA ได้แก่ AnoHana, Kaguya-sama, 5-toubun, Sono Bisque Doll และ Seihantai na Kimi to Boku

May 28th of every year is celebrated as “Fireworks Day” (花火の日) in Japan, and nothing fits the occasion better than watching anime with magnificent fireworks scenes. Today we round up 5 anime titles with the most spectacular fireworks moments, all available to stream on ABEMA.

1. Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae wo Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai. (あの日見た花の名前を僕達はまだ知らない。)

An original anime from a renowned creative team including Nagai Tatsuyuki (director), Okada Mari (screenplay), and Tanaka Masayoshi (character design), it tells the story of a childhood friend group called “Super Peace Busters” who had drifted apart, only to reunite when Menma, a girl who passed away, appears before Jintan, her childhood friend. Together they work to make Menma’s wish come true.

The standout highlight of the series is a finale where the characters come together to set off a handmade fireworks display in the sky. The childhood dream that finally becomes real, wrapped in the emotions of everyone gathered, has made this one of the most tear-jerking fireworks scenes in anime history.

2. Kaguya-sama: Love is War (かぐや様は告らせたい~天才たちの恋愛頭脳戦~)

Adapted from the manga by Akasaka Aka, the series follows the love-brain-war between Shirogane Miyuki, the student council president, and Shinomiya Kaguya, the vice president, both stubbornly trying to make the other confess first at the elite Shuuchiin Academy.

In the climax episode of the first season, there is a famous fireworks scene where student council members dash to ensure Kaguya gets to see the fireworks she nearly missed. The soaring emotions paired with the dazzling fireworks blooming overhead, and the bonds of the student council group, created unforgettable excitement for fans.

3. The Quintessential Quintuplets (五等分の花嫁)

Adapted from the manga by Haruba Negi, it follows Uesugi Futaro, a poor-but-brilliant high school student who takes a tutoring job with the Nakano quintuplets and gradually builds a relationship with each of them one by one.

In the fireworks episode, Futaro and the quintuplets grow increasingly close amid a summer festival atmosphere — a turning point that leads Futaro to begin recognizing his own feelings and the true feelings of each girl. The fireworks scene that illuminates their warming bond has drawn widespread praise from fans.

4. Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru (その着せ替え人形は恋をする)

Adapted from the manga by Fukuda Shinichi serialized in Young Gangan, it tells the story of Gojo Wakana, a boy who dreams of becoming a hina-doll craftsman, and Kitagawa Marin, a beautiful and popular girl who is a passionate cosplayer. The two grow increasingly close through the world of cosplay.

In the summer fireworks climax of the first season, Marin (in a yukata) and Wakana attend the fireworks festival together. The scene — filled with dazzling fireworks paired with matching music that perfectly captures both characters’ glowing faces — is widely cited as one of the most memorable romantic fireworks moments in recent anime.

5. Seihantai na Kimi to Boku (正反対な君と僕)

Adapted from the manga by Akazawa Ko serialized in Shonen Jump+, it follows Suzuki, a cheerful girl with warm smiling eyes who sits beside Tani, a quiet and reserved boy who says exactly what he thinks. The two have “completely opposite” personalities yet gradually develop feelings for each other.

In the summer fireworks episode, Suzuki and Tani spend two consecutive scenes at a fireworks viewing spot, getting so close they are nearly touching each other — along with Tani’s straightforward lines that set fans’ hearts racing. The sweet wave of love beautifully conveyed beneath the fireworks created widely talked-about buzz.

All 5 of these titles are now available on ABEMA. On this “Fireworks Day,” try opening up one of these anime and experience the full summer atmosphere right from your screen!
