The Success of SPY×FAMILY
SPY×FAMILY has been serialized in the manga app “少年ジャンプ+” (Shonen Jump+) by Shueisha since March 2019 and has grown explosively in popularity. It has now accumulated over 600 million total views and a cumulative print run of 42 million copies across 17 collected volumes.
On the anime side, Season 2, which began airing in October 2023, was exceptionally well-received. The theatrical film 『劇場版 SPY×FAMILY CODE: White』, which opened across 383 screens nationwide in Japan on December 22 of the same year, earned over 1.2 billion yen in just its first three days, and by August 25, 2025 had accumulated a total gross of 6.32 billion yen — a blockbuster success by any measure. Most recently, Season 3, which began airing in October 2026, wrapped up to overwhelming audience enthusiasm.
