It has been officially confirmed that the TV anime «炎の闘球女 ドッジ弾子» (Honoo no Toukyuujo Dodge Danko) will collaborate with the «35th National Middle School Dodgeball Championship Summer Tournament» in a special collaboration event. On August 16, at the Takazaki Arena in Gunma Prefecture — the venue hosting the national championship finals — voice actors from the series will take the stage to meet fans in person.
The voice actors scheduled to appear at the event are Nakayama Manaka, the voice of the protagonist Ichiengi Danko, and Maeda Kaori, the voice of Kobotoke Shingo. Further details about the collaboration event will be announced through the official website and social media channels in due course.
About “Dodge Danko”
«炎の闘球女 ドッジ弾子» is the anime adaptation of the sequel manga to «炎の闘球児 ドッジ弾平», a hugely popular work from the 1990s drawn by Kochita Tetsuhiro. The story follows Danko, the daughter of Ichiengi Danhei — the protagonist of the first series — as she trains intensely and competes in dodgeball with a blazing competitive spirit. The original manga began serialization in «週刊コロコロコミック» published by Shogakukan.
The anime is scheduled to air on TOKYO MX, MBS, and BS11 in July 2026.
