The TV anime Kusuriya no Hitorigoto (薬屋のひとりごと) has revealed a new May artwork from Chapter 2 of the project 「猫猫、壬氏と巡る四季」(Neko Neko, Jinshi to Meguru Shiki). This installment features the theme of hana shobu (花菖蒲) × Jinshi and Gaoshun, released as usual on the 22nd of each month — “Neko Neko Day.”

May Artwork: Graceful Flowers in the Rain

The illustration captures a rain-swept atmosphere within the imperial palace. Jinshi, the Emperor’s younger brother, and Gaoshun are making their way through the palace courtyard, where hana shobu flowers bloom with quiet dignity at the bridge’s edge. The gaze Jinshi directs toward those flowers reflects the serene beauty found in the small, everyday moments of palace life — a beautifully composed piece that offers fans a cherished glimpse of the characters.

About the 「猫猫、壬氏と巡る四季」 Project

The project launched in July 2024, releasing new seasonal botanical artwork on the 22nd of each month. After completing one full year in June 2025, the strong reception led to the launch of Chapter 2, which continues to the present day.
