The official website for the stage play adaptation of the manga Gachiakuta by Kei Urana issued an announcement this past Wednesday that Wednesday and Thursday performances had to be cancelled after Hikaru Imamaki, the lead actor playing Rudo, suffered a leg injury during Tuesday evening’s show.
Initial medical examination found that Imamaki had been diagnosed with a torn meniscus cartilage — a knee injury commonly seen among athletes, typically caused by a rapid twisting motion while the foot is planted and the knee is bent. After discussions among the actor, his agency, and the production committee, it was decided that Imamaki would withdraw from all remaining performances starting May 29 so that he can receive full treatment.
The production team announced that Ryota Kamiya would step in to play Rudo, with shows resuming for the Friday afternoon performance.
Performance Schedule and Full Cast
The stage play is scheduled to run at Stellar Ball in Tokyo from May 22 to 31, followed by a run at Rohm Theater in Kyoto from June 5 to 7.

Production Staff
The stage play is directed by Go Ueki and written by Watashiomu. For music, KEN THE 390 serves as music director, with Yoshizumi and Mush Tanaka composing the score.

Gachiakuta by Kei Urana has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine (Kodansha) since February 2022, with Hideyoshi Ando handling the graffiti art design. Kodansha will release collected volume 19 on July 16. Kodansha USA Publishing handles the English-language edition.
The anime adaptation began airing in Japan in July 2025 on CBC, TBS, and more than 26 other channels. Crunchyroll streams the anime in multiple regions worldwide, including North America, Central and South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, CIS countries (excluding Russia and Belarus), and the Indian subcontinent, with an English dub available. A second season has also been confirmed.
