South Korean webtoon studio REDICE STUDIO announced on Wednesday that the popular webtoon Overgeared will receive a TV anime adaptation under the title Tempal: Item no Chikara (Tempal ~The Power of Items~), scheduled to air this October.
Synopsis
Shin Youngwoo is a loser in the real world, barely making enough from odd jobs to pay off his debts. Even his family sees him as a gaming addict with no future. But when he logs into the popular VR game Satisfy, he becomes Grid, an equally ordinary warrior. His turning point comes when he accidentally discovers a book containing the knowledge of a legendary blacksmith, though using it will reset all his levels. Will Grid train his skills and gather allies to survive, or will he use god-tier items as a shortcut for everything?

Overgeared is adapted from the web novel by Park Saenal, with Lee Dong-Wook writing the webtoon and Team Argo handling the artwork. Yen Press currently publishes the English version of the webtoon under its Ize Press label, with Volume 10 released on May 19.
