The TV anime “Neko to Ryuu”, a fantasy about the unusual bonds between dragons, cats, and humans, has released its first PV and announced its fourth batch of additional cast members. The series will begin airing on July 4, 2026 on TOKYO MX and other channels.

First PV: A World of Cats and Dragons

The first PV opens with the “cat dragon” (猫竜) in dragon form entering a human city, throwing the townspeople into panic. The cat dragon requests an audience with the king. The video also includes scenes of Shirotae wanting to leave the forest and Haneko, a cat who wishes to teach magic to a human child, giving viewers a compelling sense of the story’s atmosphere.

New Additional Cast

Alongside the PV release, the staff announced the cast for the new characters as follows:

Yu Serizawa (Haneko)

This work feels warm and comforting, but it also has lines that make you stop and think. The cat I play is very intelligent and shows kindness toward the first prince, who is struggling with magic. This character plays an important role in the story that follows. There are scenes in both cat language and human language, and both are adorable! I also live with a cat myself, so I could really feel the staff’s love for cats. I hope everyone enjoys watching!

Makoto Koichi (Prince)

The world of this story is gentle, like a picture book, and it puts the heart at ease. My first impression of the prince was, “He’s so cute!” He is a kind and clever child with no prejudice toward anyone, whether cat, dragon, or human. In addition to the warmth of his interactions with cats, I hope viewers will pay attention to his kindness and empathy. This story teaches the importance of trying to understand others.

Kazuya Ichijo (King)

I play a king who must negotiate with a dragon, the guardian of cats raised by Cait Sith. I tried to portray him as an approachable character, without making him too authoritative. In an era when many anime are stimulating and packed with incidents, I hope everyone can relax with this story’s unhurried atmosphere and gentle characters.
