Théâtre Shinjuku in Tokyo will hold a special event for anime fans on the night of Saturday, June 13, 2026, titled 「odessa Midnight Movies [vol.35] 深夜開講！アニメゼミ入門編」 (Late-Night Opening! Introductory Anime Seminar). Doors open at 21:45, screenings begin at 22:00, and the event is expected to end at around 05:10 the following morning.
The event is being held as an “introduction” before the anime lecture series 「テアトルアニメゼミ2026 アニメの現在地」 officially begins on June 27, 2026. The lecture series is scheduled for six sessions, held once a month at the same venue.
Three Works Screening in One Night
Renowned anime critic Ryota Fujitsu (藤津亮太) selected the three films to be shown on the theater’s screen equipped with its odessa sound system:
- 「太陽の王子 ホルスの大冒険」 (Hols: Prince of the Sun) – 82 minutes
- 「王立宇宙軍 オネアミスの翼」 (Royal Space Force: The Wings of Honnêamise) 4K remastered version – 120 minutes
- 「映画 聲の形」 (A Silent Voice) – 129 minutes
In addition to the screenings, Fujitsu will take part in a special talk inviting viewers to discover the enjoyment of “reading” and analyzing anime more deeply than ordinary viewing.

Tickets and Sales
Tickets are priced at 3,300 yen per person and will be sold through Theatre Shinjuku’s online channels and at the theater box office. TCG members can purchase tickets in advance starting June 6 at 18:00, while general online sales open the same day at 21:00. Box office sales begin on June 7 when the theater opens.
