The staff of the TV anime Youjo Senki II officially revealed the second key visual, along with information on the theme songs and the long-awaited sequel mini anime. Season 2 will begin airing on July 8, 2026 on TOKYO MX and affiliated stations, and will stream early on ABEMA and d Anime Store.
Second Key Visual: The Mighty Tanya
The latest key visual depicts Tanya Degurechaff in giant form, elegantly waving a command baton. Beside her appear two high-ranking Imperial Army leaders, Zettour and Rudolf. The overall image conveys the intense wartime atmosphere awaiting viewers this season.
Opening and Ending Themes
The opening theme for Season 2 has been confirmed as “Why? RED induction” by MYTH & ROID, the music unit that handled theme songs for both Season 1 and the film. The ending theme is “Weiter! Weiter!”, performed by Aoi Yuki in the role of Tanya Degurechaff.
MYTH & ROID commented on “Why? RED induction”: “Continuing from Season 1 and the film, we are honored to handle the opening theme for Youjo Senki II once again. This song inherits the raw excitement of Season 1’s ‘JINGO JUNGLE’ while adding the solemnity and sorrow unique to Season 2. We wanted it to be a song everyone could sing together, to stir the will to fight against despair and emptiness amid an endless war.”
Mini Anime “Youjoshenki 2”
AT-X will also air the mini anime “Youjoshenki 2” after each main episode of Season 2. The mini anime follows the Salamander Kampfgruppe after it gains new members, telling stories not shown in the main episodes, including Weiss’ headaches while training inexperienced recruits and the various problems Tanya faces before winter arrives. The mini anime will also be released on the KADOKAWA Anime Channel on YouTube every Wednesday at 24:00.
Youjo Senki II Synopsis
Season 2 continues the adventures of Tanya Degurechaff, a young girl with exceptional military ability. This time, she is appointed commander of the newly formed Salamander Kampfgruppe and must once again lead troops into a brutal battlefield.
