The special exhibition Kusuriya no Hitorigoto Original Novel Exhibition: Poison and Medicine, Science and Mystery has officially opened to fans at Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse Building 1, 2F in Kanagawa Prefecture. It opened on June 5, 2026 and will run through June 21, 2026.
About Kusuriya no Hitorigoto
Kusuriya no Hitorigoto is a mystery light novel series written by Natsu Hyuga and illustrated by Toko Shino, published under Imagica Infos’ Hero Bunko label. The story follows Maomao, a young poison tester in the imperial court who solves various mysteries with her sharp intellect. The work is considered one of the titles that helped spark the “inner palace harem” boom in manga and anime. It has surpassed 45 million copies in circulation across all versions and has manga adaptations from both Square Enix and Shogakukan.
On the anime side, the TV series has become hugely popular. It is currently preparing for a third season in October and is also scheduled to receive its first theatrical film in December.
Yokohama Exhibition – Highlights and New Additions
This exhibition focuses specifically on the original novels, inviting visitors into the story world woven by Natsu Hyuga alongside Toko Shino’s beautiful illustrations. After its previous run at Tokyo Solamachi Space 634 in December 2025, the Yokohama edition brings several exciting additions, including:

- Illustration commentary from original illustrator Toko Shino
- An “official record” publication debuting at the event, offered instead of a standard art book
