The staff of the anime Ushiro no Shomen Kamui-san officially announced that the series will begin airing on July 3, 2026 (Friday). The announcement also revealed the second key visual and main promotional video.
About the Work
The anime is based on the manga currently serialized on Shogakukan’s Manga ONE website, written by Eroki and illustrated by Konoshiro Shinko. The story is a horror comedy that blends unsettling supernatural elements with humor.
The plot follows Shizuka, an ordinary high school girl whose body unintentionally attracts spirits. She uses this unusual ability while working as an assistant to Kamui, a famous exorcist with overwhelming psychic power. However, Kamui’s exorcism methods are extremely strange and unlike anyone else’s, becoming one of the series’ defining traits.
Second Key Visual and Main PV
The new key visual shows Shizuka in a relaxed moment while an evil spirit is about to approach her, clearly expressing the series’ distinctive world of extreme exorcism. Kamui also appears shirtless in the visual. The main PV captures the sharp blend of horror atmosphere and slapstick comedy, while also showcasing the erotic-comedy flavor that is one of the work’s main selling points.
