About the story

The story begins with a heavy rainstorm and landslide in a mountain forest. Two siblings wander into a forbidden area and encounter a frighteningly long shadow that rises up to greet them. That is the beginning of their meeting with Dara-san. She may look terrifying at first glance, but in truth she is a goddess of misfortune who is not quite as scary as she seems.

“I’m a goddess of misfortune, you know!? Aren’t you children afraid of my hideous appearance!?”

Manga history

Tomotsuka began drawing the manga on Twitter, now X, in October 2019 before releasing collected volumes at Comic Market. Kadokawa later began publishing the manga on the ComicWalker website in March 2022. Volume 7 was released on December 23, and Volume 8 is scheduled for release on June 23. Yen Press will release the third English-language volume on the same day.
