The official website for the TV anime based on Kore Kaite Shine (Draw This, Then Die!), the manga by Minoru Toyoda, released its second promotional video on Monday. The video previews the ending theme “Conifer” by Regal Lily, which was written specifically for the anime. The opening theme, “Isho,” is performed by Tatsuya Kitani.
Synopsis
Ai Yasumi, a first-year high school student living on the remote island of Izu Oshima, is deeply passionate about manga. One day, she learns that Yasuno-sensei, her favorite manga artist who has long been reclusive, will make a special appearance at Comitia. Ai immediately decides to go meet her, but that decision sets off a series of encounters and events that transform her understanding of art, genius, and the true meaning of creating work.

About the Original Manga
Toyoda, creator of Love Roma, began serializing the manga in Shogakukan’s Monthly Shonen Sunday magazine in November 2021, and it is also published online on Sunday Webry. The ninth compiled volume will go on sale on June 12.
The manga won at the 70th Shogakukan Manga Awards in January 2025 and previously won the 16th Manga Taisho in 2023. It also ranked sixth in the male readers category of Kono Manga ga Sugoi! 2023. For fans outside Japan, Seven Seas Entertainment has licensed the manga in English.
