The TV anime Kekkaishi no Ichirinka (結界師の一輪華) has announced a January 2027 broadcast premiere, unveiling its second teaser visual, a special promotional video, and the two main cast members.
Story and Source Material
The series is based on a novel by Kureha, the author best known for Oni no Hanayome, published under Kadokawa Bunko. The story follows Ichinose Hana, a young woman who has spent her life being compared unfavorably to her talented twin sister. When Ichinomiya Saku, the young head of the Ichinomiya clan, pressures her into a contract marriage, Hana seizes the moment as an opportunity to finally live life on her own terms. The series is a Japanese-style romantic fantasy.
Second Teaser Visual and Promotional Video
The second teaser visual depicts Saku and Hana beneath a canopy of cherry blossoms in full bloom — Saku gazing with a gaze that is at once gentle and defiant, while Hana is drawn to him despite her hesitation. The promotional video marks the first time audiences can hear the character voices of both leads, with Kito’s and Toya’s performances complementing the lush visuals produced by studio TROYCA.
Accompanying the announcement are special photo-shoot visuals of Kito Akari and Toya Kikunosuke dressed in traditional Japanese attire, evoking the rich and elegant world of the series.
