The The World is Dancing anime is set to give fans an early look at its first episode via HIDIVE on June 29, before the series makes its Japanese television debut.
In Japan, the anime will begin broadcasting on Tokyo MX and KBS Kyoto on July 2 at 10:00 p.m. JST, followed by Sun TV at 24:00 JST (effectively midnight into July 3). BS Asahi and TVQ Kyushu will also begin airing the series starting July 3.
Fans attending Anime Expo this year will have a chance to catch the world premiere of the second episode on July 2 at 6:45 p.m. PDT.
Staff and Theme Song
The anime is produced at Cygames Pictures under the direction of Toshimasa Kuroyanagi, known for his work on Shōnen Hollywood, The Great Passage, and the Backflip!! series and film. Keigo Sasaki, whose credits include Blue Exorcist, ERASED, and both seasons of Uma Musume: Cinderella Gray, is handling character design. Satoshi Nemoto is credited for calligraphy and title lettering.
The opening theme song, titled “shusho,” is performed by Macaroni Empitsu.
About the Source Manga
The anime is based on the manga by Mihara, which ran in Kodansha‘s Morning magazine from March 2021 until its conclusion in October 2022. The series was compiled into six volumes. Kodansha USA Publishing has licensed the manga and released all six volumes digitally.
