The TV anime Dr.STONE SCIENCE FUTURE has released a new key visual titled “VS Whyman Visual” for its third cour, accompanied by comments from Yamdera Koichi and Mitsuishi Kotono, the two voice actors sharing the role of Whyman.
Based on the manga by Inagaki Riichiro and Boichi, Cour 3 sees the characters launch into space aboard a rocket built by the combined efforts of all humanity and finally reach the Moon. In Episode 36, which aired on June 18, the mystery of the petrification phenomenon was at last revealed as Whyman — the mastermind behind the global petrification — finally showed its true form.
The newly released visual depicts Senku standing boldly against a backdrop of ominous Whyman figures, evoking the final battle that will decide the fate of all humankind.

I was so happy that Yamdera-san’s Whyman turned out to be the leader. Using other species to preserve one’s own is a common strategy in nature. Even though they’re machines, they gave me a surprisingly organic impression.”
