The official website for the Magilumiere Magical Girls Inc. television anime — based on the manga by writer Sekka Iwata and artist Yū Aoki — has released a new 30-second promotional video for its second season, along with announcements of several new cast members.
Opening and Ending Themes
The promo video previews the season’s opening theme, “Latte Magic,” performed by syudou×Yūsei Yagi (FANTASTICS). VTuber Marine Houshou performs the ending theme, “BooooM!!!”
New Cast Members
- Manaka Iwami as Sakae Tōnomori, the 28th-generation shrine maiden of Kyoto’s Tōnomori Shrine
- Masaya Fukunishi as Hibiki Yamimori, a student at Kyoto Magic University
- Sayumi Watabe as Iroha Akasaka
- Mariko Higashiuchi as Hitomi Koshigaya, replacing Yumiri Hanamori, who stepped down from the role
- Kōsuke Gotō as Commissioner Koshigaya
- Taketora as President Manda

The new season is produced at J.C.STAFF with Riki Fukushima (Beyblade the Movie: Fierce Battle, Skate-Leading Stars) stepping in as director. Michiko Yokote (Prison School, RIN-NE) joins as series script supervisor, while Masahiro Fujii returns as character designer and Makoto Miyazaki returns to compose the music.
New additions to the crew include assistant director Hiroyasu Oda (Delico’s Nursery; episode director on Honey Lemon Soda), sound director Yoshikazu Iwanami (Ajin, Ghost in the Shell Arise), art director Shun Yoshii (background art on 2.5 Dimensional Seduction and One-Punch Man season 3), CG director Shunsuke Kasuga (3D director on Honey Lemon Soda), and editor Yūji Kondō (Fate/strange Fake, Sword Art Online: Alicization). Asuka Hino, who served as episode color coordinator in season one, has been promoted to color key artist, and Yūsuke Noguchi, who handled compositing and photography on season one episodes, has been elevated to compositing director of photography.
Premiere and Manga Details
Season 2 premieres on NTV on July 4 at 24:55 JST (effectively July 5 at 12:55 a.m.). The first season aired in Japan from October to December 2024 and streamed worldwide on Amazon Prime Video.
Iwata and Aoki launched the manga on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ in October 2021. The series concluded with its 160th chapter in July 2025, and the 18th and final compiled volume is scheduled to ship on September 4. Viz Media and MANGA Plus publish the manga in English.
Synopsis
Kana Sakuragi is an excellent candidate for any job — motivated, organized, and blessed with a fantastic memory. Yet after more than 15 interviews, she still hasn’t received a single offer. Her luck seems to hit rock bottom when a monster crashes her latest interview, but helping the magical girl who arrives to deal with it turns her life around entirely.
