Celebrating the 30th anniversary of Kidou Shin Seiki Gundam X (機動新世紀ガンダムX), a special two-volume collection titled 「『機動新世紀ガンダムX』 記録全集 A.W. 30th Chronicle」 has been announced for release on January 26, 2027.
Two Volumes of Setting Materials and Production Documents
The set compiles character, mobile suit, and warship design sheets alongside rough sketches by mechanical designer Kunio Okawara and character rough designs by Masayoshi Nishimura. Production documents including original project proposals are also included. A work-in-progress illustration of the slipcase (三方背BOX) artwork, drawn by mechanical designer Junya Ishigaki, has also been revealed.
Four Cast Roundtable Conversations
The books feature four roundtable discussions with cast members. The headline pairing is Wataru Takagi (voice of Garrod Ran) and Mika Kanai (voice of Tiffa Adill). Also participating across the four sessions are Kenyuu Horiuchi, Kazuya Nakai, Takumi Yamazaki, Toshiyuki Morikawa, Nozomu Sasaki, Kotono Mitsuishi, and Yumi Kakazu.
Pre-orders and Bonuses
Pre-orders are open from June 20 through October 4 at 23:59 JST. Customers who order via Premium Bandai or A-on STORE will receive a special clear sleeve as a bonus.
Blu-ray Memorial Box Encore Press
A limited-quantity encore press of the Gundam X Blu-ray Memorial Box — originally released as a limited production run in 2018 — has also been announced for March 26, 2027. The set includes an exclusive audio commentary and a 64-page newly drawn manga titled 「あなたと、一緒なら」 by Kouichi Tokita, supervised by director Shinji Takamatsu with story by Hiroyuki Kawasaki.
30th Anniversary Stage Event in Osaka
On June 21, a Gundam X 30th Anniversary Stage event will be held at Jojo Hall in Osaka as part of the “ちゃやまち推しフェスティバル 2026” event. Wataru Takagi and Mika Kanai are scheduled to appear. The event will also be streamed live on the Gundam Channel YouTube channel.
