Figure brand QuesQ has announced a 1/7 scale completed figure of Hanekawa Tsubasa — the girl possessed by the “sawarineko” (touching cat) apparition — from the manga Bakemonogatari (化物語). The item will be sold exclusively through the major hobby retailer Amiami.
About Bakemonogatari
Bakemonogatari is based on the novel series by NISIOISIN (西尾維新), published under the Kodansha BOX imprint. The story follows protagonist Araragi Koyomi as he becomes entangled with various supernatural apparitions. A TV anime adaptation aired in 2009, and a manga adaptation drawn by Oogure Ito (大暮維人) ran in Weekly Shonen Magazine from 2018 to 2023.
Figure Details
The figure depicts Hanekawa standing quietly on a desolate, bone-strewn landscape while carrying mourning paper lanterns — a scene that offers a glimpse into her inner emotional world. Each lantern houses a built-in LED unit, allowing light to seep through the tears in the paper and create an ethereal, fantastical lighting effect.
