A special exhibition titled 「完・宇宙兄弟展」(Kan Uchuu Kyoudai Ten) will be held to mark the conclusion of Uchuu Kyoudai (Space Brothers), the long-running manga by Koyama Chuya. The event takes place at Seibu Shibuya Store, Building A, 7th Floor in Tokyo, running from July 31 to August 23, 2026, open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. (last entry at 7:30 p.m.).
Nearly 19 Years in the Making
Uchuu Kyoudai launched in Morning magazine (Kodansha) in 2007 and officially concluded on June 11 of this year, bringing nearly 19 years of serialization to a close. The exhibition is designed to celebrate that remarkable journey.
A Key Visual That Pays Homage to Volume 1
Koyama Chuya drew an all-new key visual exclusively for the exhibition. Inspired by the iconic cover of the manga’s first volume, the artwork depicts protagonists Nanba Mutta and Nanba Hibito side by side in matching spacesuits — the same composition as the original cover, but now showing the brothers as they appear after years of growth. The image is accompanied by the tagline 「終わりは、始まりだ。」(“The end is a beginning.”)
“For this exhibition, I paid homage to the iconic Volume 1 cover of Uchuu Kyoudai, drawing the two brothers in the same composition but showing how much they’ve grown, both in matching spacesuits. I’ve heard that a wonderful team has put together the exhibition. I hope everyone enjoys it.”
— Koyama Chuya
