The production team behind the live-action omnibus drama 「ストレンジ -伊藤潤二の夜も眠れぬ奇妙な話-」 (Strange: Ito Junji’s Sleepless Night of Strange Tales) has announced that the episode “Gentsuu Yashiki” — originally scheduled as the series’ first episode — will not air or stream as planned, with no new broadcast date announced.
In its place, the series will now open with “Shibito no Koiwazurai -Yotsuji no Bishounen-“, which had previously been slated as the second episode. The premiere takes place on July 3, 2026.

Strange is a live-action omnibus drama adapting a carefully curated selection of works by horror manga artist Ito Junji, drawn from his collections 「伊藤潤二傑作集」 and 「魔の断片」, both published by Asahi Shimbun Publications.
In the premiere episode “Shibito no Koiwazurai -Yotsuji no Bishounen-“, Hosoda Kaota (細田佳央太) stars as protagonist Fukada Ryusuke, while Riko (莉子) plays Shibayama Midori, Ryusuke’s childhood friend and the story’s heroine.
