The development team behind Mushoku Tensei – Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu: Chronicle of Echoes (Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation: Chronicle of Echoes), an upcoming smartphone game based on the popular fantasy series, began streaming the game’s opening movie on Sunday. The video confirms a July 27 release date and previews the theme song “Chronicle” performed by Yuiko Ōhara, who has sung multiple theme songs for the Mushoku Tensei anime.

Anime Season 3 Arrives July 5

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation III, the third season of the anime, is set to premiere on Tokyo MX and BS11 on July 5 at 24:00 (effectively midnight on July 5), with later broadcasts on Sun TV and KBS Kyoto. The new season will adapt the “Eris Training Arc” storyline, which begins in the 13th volume of the original light novel series.

About the Series

Author Rifujin na Magonote originally serialized the story on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō (Let’s Become Novelists) website from 2012 to 2015. Kadokawa’s MF Books imprint began publishing a print edition in 2014, with the 26th volume shipping in November 2022.

Seven Seas Entertainment holds the English-language license for the original light novel series, Yuka Fujikawa’s manga adaptation, and Shōko Iwami’s spinoff manga Mushoku Tensei: Roxy Gets Serious (Mushoku Tensei: Roxy Datte Honki desu).

Anime History

The first anime season aired in two parts — the first debuting in January 2021 and the second in October 2021 after a delay from July of that year. Crunchyroll and Hulu currently stream the season, including the unaired OVA episode “Eris the Goblin Slayer.”

The second season ran for two cours, with the first half premiering on Tokyo MX in July 2023 and the second half debuting in April 2024. Crunchyroll streamed both halves as they aired in Japan.
