Revival screenings of Puella Magi Madoka☆Magica the Movie Part 1: Beginnings and Part 2: Eternal have been significantly expanded, growing from just 10 theaters to 192 theaters across Japan.
Beginnings opens its revival run on July 10, followed by Eternal on July 17. The screenings are being held in anticipation of the brand-new theatrical entry, Puella Magi Madoka☆Magica the Movie: Walpurgis no Kaiten, which is set to premiere on August 28.
It was also announced that Puella Magi Madoka☆Magica the Movie Part 3: Rebellion — originally released in 2013 — will receive its own revival run beginning August 14, screening for a two-week limited engagement at 287 theaters nationwide.
