A special release celebration event for the Fushigi Yuugi (ふしぎ遊戯) Blu-ray BOX — based on the original manga by Watase Yuu — has been announced for Saturday, November 21, 2026 at an undisclosed venue in Tokyo.
Voice Actors Taking the Stage
Midorikawa Hikaru, the voice of Tamahome (Kishuku), and Seki Tomokazu, the voice of Hotohori (Ishuku), are confirmed to appear at the event for a talk show segment.
How to Attend
Fans who purchase the Blu-ray BOX through A-on STORE will receive a serial code to enter the event lottery. Applications must be submitted between October 7 and 14, and winners will be invited to attend free of charge.
Studio Pierrot Digijacket Art Unveiled
Newly drawn Digijacket illustration artwork for the Blu-ray BOX, created by Studio Pierrot, has also been revealed alongside the event announcement.
Audio Commentary Details
Details of the Blu-ray BOX’s audio commentary tracks have also been made public. Commentary has been recorded for two episodes:
- Episode 51: “Takusareta Kibou” (Entrusted Hope)
- Episode 52: “Itooshii Hito no Tame ni” (For the One I Love)
Participating voice actors include Araki Kae (Miaka Yuki), Fuyuma Yumi (Yui Hongo), Midorikawa Hikaru, and Sakamoto Chinatsu (Chiriko/Nuriko).

Director Kamegaki Hajime shared a congratulatory message:
“Congratulations on the release of the Fushigi Yuugi Blu-ray BOX! Has it really been 30 years? We were still in the cel animation era back then. For the 31st year (or even the 35th), I’d love to create some brand-new bonus content! 😅”
