The production team behind the summer anime Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha EXCEEDS Gun Blaze Vengeance has released the synopsis and advance preview cuts for Episode 2, titled “UN Investigation Agency EXCEEDS / Demon Hunter”, set to air on Saturday, July 11, 2026.
About the Series
The Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha franchise began with a TV anime in 2004, originally spun off from a romance simulation game. It went on to become a beloved magical battle action series following a girl who unexpectedly gains magical powers. EXCEEDS Gun Blaze Vengeance is a brand-new TV anime entry in the series, with original story and scripts by Maki Tsuzuki, directed by Takayuki Hamana, and animated by Seven Arcs.
Story Setting
The story is set in a world that was nearly destroyed 30 years ago when mysterious invasive alien creatures known as “Invasion Species” appeared. Humanity and these creatures have been locked in a struggle over living space ever since. While humans have managed to maintain a fragile safety, the world remains on the brink of annihilation — and people go about their daily lives trying to look away from that looming threat.
In this world, the UN’s dangerous creature investigation agency “EXCEEDS” has begun operations to counter the crises caused by the Invasion Species. The story follows Shiina Kuse, a young hunter who exterminate Invasion Species, living on a remote island in the far-eastern island nation of “Mizuho.” Shiina wants nothing more than to live quietly with her younger sister Setsuna — until an unexpected incident changes everything.
Episode 2 Synopsis: “UN Investigation Agency EXCEEDS / Demon Hunter”
Shiina is scouted by Nanoha Takamachi to join the UN investigation agency EXCEEDS, and hears the “way to save the world” directly from EXCEEDS Governor-General Hayate Yagami. Meanwhile, in the criminal underworld, a dangerous group known as the “Demon Hunters” is running rampant.
