Studio Chromato Drops a Special Birthday Illustration
Studio Chromato kicked off the festivities on X, posting: “🎉 Happy Birthday! Today, July 12, is the birthday of Kaguya (CV: Natsuyoshi Yuko)!” alongside a newly drawn illustration depicting Kaguya desperately trying to wriggle free from an electric utility pole — a charmingly absurd image that delighted fans.
Voice actress Natsuyoshi Yuko (夏吉ゆうこ), who plays Kaguya, quote-reposted the illustration with the message: “What are you doing?! So cute! Kaguya, happy birthday!”

Natsuyoshi Yuko then went a step further, posting a hand-drawn illustration on her personal X account with the caption: “I humbly drew this! Happy birthday.” The drawing shows Kaguya smiling and flashing a double peace sign.
The post was flooded with admiring comments from fans, including:

About Cho Kaguya-hime!
Cho Kaguya-hime! is an original anime film directed by Yamashita Seigo (山下清悟), the animation creator behind the opening sequences of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 1, Chainsaw Man, and Urusei Yatsura. This marks his feature-length directorial debut.
Billed as a “Music Animation Project,” the film features songs contributed by a roster of acclaimed Vocaloid producers: ryo (supercell), kz (livetune), 40mP, HoneyWorks, Aqu3ra, and yuigot.
The film is set in Tsukuyomi, a virtual space brimming with dreams and hope, and follows the bonds formed between girls connected through song. Animation is handled jointly by Studio Colorido — known for Penguin Highway and A Whisker Away — and Studio Chromato, the newly established studio led by Director Yamashita.
Natsuyoshi Yuko Performs at Animelo Summer Live 2026
On DAY 2 of Animelo Summer Live 2026 “Messenger”, Natsuyoshi Yuko took the stage representing Cho Kaguya-hime!, performing three songs: 「私は、わたしの事が好き。」, 「瞬間、シンフォニー。」, and 「メルト CPK! Remix」.
After the show, she posted a photo in her stage outfit with the message: “Anisama — happily ever after! Everyone, you’re free!!!!” Fans who attended responded enthusiastically, with comments such as “You gave us the greatest stage I’ve ever seen — I’m so grateful,” “Hearing the live vocals was absolutely incredible,” and “I cried out loud and sang along with everyone — it was so much fun!”
Many fans also noted that this was the first-ever live performance of Cho Kaguya-hime! songs, making the event feel all the more historic.
