About My Hero Academia
Created by Kōhei Horikoshi and serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump for over a decade, My Hero Academia is a hero-action manga set in a world where roughly 80% of the population possesses a superhuman ability known as a “Quirk.” The story follows Izuku Midoriya — nicknamed “Deku” — and his classmates at UA High School as they train to become heroes, facing villains who misuse their powers along the way.
The TV anime ran from April 2016 through its FINAL SEASON in 2025, spanning 8 seasons and 170 episodes, alongside 4 theatrical films. A 10th anniversary project, “Boku no Hero Academia The Animation 10th Anniversary,” launched in April 2026, which includes the production of a special short anime titled “I am a hero too” — adapted from a one-shot manga included in an official fan book — scheduled to screen and stream this summer.
