The summer anime Mushoku Tensei III: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu has released the synopsis and preview images for Episode 4, “Water King-Class Mage” (水王級魔術師), set to air on Sunday, July 19, 2026, on TOKYO MX and other channels.
About the Series
Mushoku Tensei is one of the most celebrated isekai light novel series, written by Rifujin na Magonote with a cumulative print run exceeding 18 million copies. The story follows a 34-year-old shut-in who, after spending his entire life unemployed and isolated, dies in a traffic accident — only to be reincarnated as a newborn in a world of swords and magic. Reborn as Rudeus Greyrat, he resolves to live life seriously this time, drawing on the memories and regrets of his past life as he faces trials, forges bonds, and embarks on a grand adventure.
Following Season 1 (January 2021) and Season 2 (July 2023), a grown Rudeus has overcome countless hardships and begun building a new family. Season 3 is animated by Studio Bind under director Ryosuke Shibuya, and promises to portray his life in even greater depth.
Episode 4 Synopsis: “Water King-Class Mage”
With the help of Zanoba and Cliff, Rudeus has obtained the “Zarif Prosthetic Arm” to replace his lost left hand. Yet the threat of danger to his family still looms. Driven by the conviction that he “never wants to lose anyone again,” Rudeus throws himself into research — and finally works up the courage to ask Roxy to teach him Water King-class magic.
