The TV anime Anne Shirley, adapted from L.M. Montgomery’s beloved Anne of Green Gables novel series (translated into Japanese by Hanako Muraoka), is coming to Fuji TV starting October 4, 2026. The series will air every Sunday from 5:10 to 5:40 a.m. in the Kanto region.
Set on the picturesque Prince Edward Island in Canada, the 24-episode series follows the growth of orphan Anne Shirley after she is taken in by an elderly brother and sister. The anime previously aired on NHK Eテレ beginning in April 2025.
