The production team behind the summer 2026 anime Mushoku Tensei III: Jobless Reincarnation has released the synopsis and advance preview cuts for Episode 5, “Celebration” (お祝い), set to air on Sunday, July 26, on TOKYO MX and other channels.
About Mushoku Tensei
Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation is an epic isekai fantasy light novel series by Rifujin na Magonote, published under MF Books / KADOKAWA. Widely regarded as one of the defining works of the isekai genre, the series has sold a cumulative 18 million copies across all volumes.
The story follows a 34-year-old shut-in who wasted his life gaming and avoiding society, only to die in a traffic accident — and immediately reincarnate as a newborn in a world of swords and magic. Retaining his memories from his previous life, he is reborn as Rudeus Greyrat and vows to live earnestly this time, facing countless encounters and trials in a sweeping adventure.
After Season 1 in January 2021 and Season 2 in July 2023, a grown Rudeus has overcome tremendous hardship and begun building a new family. Season 3, directed by Ryosuke Shibuya and produced by Studio Bind, delves even deeper into his life’s journey.
Episode 5 Synopsis: “Celebration”
In Episode 4, “Water King-Class Mage,” the wedding of Cliff and Eris Dragonroad is held at the Holy Millis Church, with Rudeus and his companions warmly celebrating the couple.
Afterward, Rudeus realizes he has yet to properly celebrate the 10th birthdays of his sisters Norn and Aisha. He heads into town with Sylphiette and Roxy to shop for gifts — and it seems that Rudeus’s long-cherished wish may finally be fulfilled.
