Fuji TV launched its brand-new summer event, “Odaiba FunRising ～楽しくアガる！真夏のエンタメ最前線～”, on 25 July 2026 at the network’s headquarters in Odaiba, Tokyo. The event brings together booths from Fuji TV’s popular anime, variety shows, and films, offering exclusive experiences for visitors of all ages. The opening ceremony was enlivened by mascots Gachapin and Mukk, along with characters from the anime Chiikawa (ちいかわ) — Chiikawa and Hachiware — who helped kick off the festivities.
Chiikawa Zone on Floor 22F
The Chiikawa area on the 22F Forum features two main attractions: “Chiikawa Obake no Mori” (Chiikawa’s Ghost Forest), a mysterious forest-themed walk-through, and “Chiikawa Jinja” (Chiikawa Shrine), anchored by a giant Chiikawa figure. At the shrine, visitors can try their luck with a “water fortune slip” (水みくじ) and take on a “Super Jumbo Yo-Yo Fishing” game.
A photo spot tied to the film Chiikawa the Movie: Secret of Mermaid Island (映画ちいかわ 人魚の島のひみつ) — in cinemas from 24 July — is also on-site, along with exclusive visitor gifts. The Chiikawa Odaiba Shoten store on the same floor stocks limited merchandise featuring the characters in ghost-themed illustrations, including mascots, sweets, and stationery.
Puppet Sunsun Pop-Up on Floor 1
Puppet Sunsun (パペットスンスン), the beloved segment from the morning show Mezamashi TV, returns with a refreshed pop-up store called “PUPPET SUNSUN in ODAIBA” at the 1F entrance. New key visuals and summer-themed photo panels greet visitors, while the shop carries around 100 items — including full-colour tote bags, mugs, and the hugely popular Sunsun plush toys. Note that some dates will require advance reservations via lottery; check the event’s official X (formerly Twitter) account for details before visiting.
Odoru Daisosasen Museum at the Hachitama Sphere, Floor 25F
The spherical observation room Hachitama on the 25th floor hosts “Odoru Daisosasen THE MUSEUM ～『踊る』の歴史を駆け抜けろ！～”, celebrating the release of the new film Odoru Daisosasen N.E.W. The exhibition carries special significance: it was in this very space that the TV drama Odoru Daisosasen was announced back in December 1996 — nearly 30 years ago. Highlights include actual costumes and props worn by the cast, a partial recreation of the original studio set, rare behind-the-scenes treasures from the production team, and a range of limited-edition merchandise tracing the franchise’s three-decade history.
Special TV Programme
A companion TV special, “お台場ファンライジングを盛り上げろ！ぱーてぃーちゃんのNo.1決定戦”, will air on Saturday, 8 August at 14:35 (Kanto area only), with a repeat broadcast on Thursday, 13 August at 26:15. The programme follows the trio ぱーてぃーちゃん as they compete across the event’s various attractions, hosted by announcer Sano Mizuki, with guest appearances from each booth.
