ภาพประกาศAnime Senren * Banka จาก Yuzu Soft

Visual novel developer Yuzu Soft announced at its Yuzu Soft Songfes 2026 event on Sunday that its beloved title Senren * Banka will receive an anime adaptation set to premiere in 2027. The announcement did not confirm the format of the adaptation.

Original Cast Reprising Their Roles

All four voice actors from the original visual novel will return to reprise their roles in the anime:

  • Eri Sendai as Yoshino Tomotake
  • Mikan Satō as Natsumi Takamori
  • Nozomi Yamamoto as Murasame
  • Atsumi Tanezaki as Lena Liechtenauer

Artist KOTOKO, who performed the opening theme for the original visual novel, will also return to perform the anime’s opening theme song.

Story Synopsis

The story is set in Hoori, a small, remote mountain village so isolated that no trains stop there. Despite its seclusion, the village’s rustic charm and hot springs have made it a well-known tourist destination.

The village’s most famous landmark is the divine blade Murasamemaru, lodged in a stone that no one has ever been able to pull it free from — until protagonist Arichi Masaomi accidentally breaks it in two. To make amends, he is forced to marry the village’s shrine maiden.

As Masaomi settles into his chaotic new life, he meets his new fiancée, encounters a mysterious girl that only he can touch, and gradually uncovers the curse haunting the village of Hoori. The answers to all his questions may lie within the legendary sword now in his hands.

Background

Yuzu Soft originally released Senren * Banka in Japan in July 2016 to commemorate the company’s 10th anniversary. NekoNyan published the English localization in February 2020, and a Nintendo Switch version followed in May 2022.
