The official website for the second season of the The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World (Hyōken no Majutsushi ga Sekai wo Suberu) television anime — based on Nana Mikoshiba‘s light novel series — released a teaser promotional video on Friday alongside new character designs and additional cast announcements. The season is set to premiere in October, airing on TBS and BS11.
Cast Changes and New Additions
Miyu Kubota joins the cast as Elisa Griffith, stepping in for Nana Harumura, who retired from voice acting in January due to health reasons.

Staff
Masahiro Takata returns as director, and is also handling series script supervision and sound direction. The animation studio has changed from Cloud Hearts (Season 1) to Zero-G. Scriptwriters include returning collaborator Tomoko Shinozuka and newcomer Takahito Ōnishi (Whisper Me a Love Song, My Happy Marriage). Mariko Kawamoto (Magica Wars) takes over character design duties from Makoto Shimojima.

Background
The first season premiered in January 2023, with Crunchyroll streaming both the subtitled and English-dubbed versions internationally.
Mikoshiba’s original story began on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in October 2019. The light novel adaptation, with illustrations by Riko Korie, launched in July 2020 under Kodansha. Norihito Sasaki‘s manga adaptation ran in Magazine Pocket from June 2020 to January 2024, concluding with its 16th volume in April 2024. Kodansha USA Publishing holds the English license for the manga.
A sequel manga, Hyōken no Majutsushi ga Sekai wo Suberu II, launched on May 27 via Niconico Manga under Kodansha’s “Suiyōbi no Sirius” label, with art by Nao Kagami and composition by Ishiya Ōgane.
