The live-action film Onee-chan no Midori-kun, based on the manga by Meguro Amu (published by Shueisha), has unveiled its first teaser trailer and official poster visual. The production has also announced two additional cast members: Kumada Rinka and Matsumoto Reisei.
Story
The film follows Sui, a high school girl who falls for Midori — her older sister’s boyfriend. Despite initially disliking him for always treating her like a child, Sui discovers an unexpected gentleness in Midori when the two end up studying together for her entrance exams, and her feelings begin to change.
The teaser features Hashimoto Masao (timelesz) as Midori and Nakajima Runa as Sui, depicting Sui’s helpless attraction to Midori alongside a shot of him smiling in the driver’s seat wearing glasses. The clip closes on a brief but striking cut of Midori saying, “Bye-bye, Sui-chan.”

- Kumada Rinka as Sakinae Momo — Sui’s older sister and Midori’s girlfriend. She is a capable, dependable, and cool big sister who deeply cares for Sui.

“When I was offered the role, I was genuinely thrilled — it had been a while since I’d been in a romance project. As I read through the manga, I found myself caught up in it as a reader, torn between rooting for Team Midori or Team Sho. Capturing the moments when the usually cool Sho lets his emotions show, as well as the charm and cuteness that works so well in manga form, was delicate and difficult work. But I did my best to honor the source material. I hope audiences enjoy what makes Sho special in this film version.”
