ภาพคีย์วิชวล Tengu no Daidokoro Season 3 แสดงตัวละครหลักปิกนิกใต้ต้นซากุระ

The TV drama Tengu no Daidokoro Season 3, based on the manga by Tanaka Ai serialized in Kodansha’s Monthly Afternoon, is set to premiere on BS-TBS in the “Thursday Drama 23” slot on October 1, 2026, airing every Thursday from 23:00 to 23:30. The announcement came alongside the reveal of the season’s key visual and additional cast members.

About the Series

Tengu no Daidokoro is a “gourmet slow-life fantasy” following On, a 14-year-old boy who suddenly learns he is a descendant of the tengu, and his older brother Motoi, who lives a quiet, reclusive life in rural Japan. The two spend their days cooking with seasonal ingredients amid lush nature.

Season 1 saw On — raised in New York — begin a year of communal living with Motoi in the tengu village per tradition. Season 2 followed On’s return for a summer and his growth during that time. In Season 3, the story picks up in the fresh greenery of spring as Motoi, On, and Yui reunite for a new chapter centered around rice planting.

The Season 3 key visual captures the trio enjoying a cheerful picnic beneath cherry blossoms in full bloom, joined by Mugi, the talking dog who lives in Motoi’s home.

Cast Comments

Furuya Robin (Jiu): “I truly love the gentle atmosphere of this work — the landscapes that shift with the seasons and the warm moments between people. I’m so happy to be back in this world.”

Hiraki Yota (Nagi): “When I found out I’d been cast, I watched the previous seasons and was struck by how peaceful and beautiful this world is. I was a little nervous about fitting in, but the cast and crew welcomed me so warmly.”

Nagao Yuno (Hina): “I’m so happy to be back for Season 3. The delicious food and the warm, magical world of this show always make me feel like I’ve come home. This is my third year playing Hina.”

Okui Shuji (Kunihiro): “I play a lonely character, and the quiet of the location and my own nervousness on the first day of filming somehow resonated with that loneliness. As shooting went on, my bond with Komakine and Koshiyama grew naturally — and that change itself felt like part of the story.”

Tsunoda Akihiro / Tokyo 03 (Mugi voice): “I’m so grateful to be voicing Mugi again. Opportunities to voice a dog with tengu blood don’t come around often. I’m also looking forward to seeing the beautiful scenery and food of Tengu no Daidokoro on screen once more.”

Watanabe Makiko (Ichino): “This season is set in autumn. Seeing the characters a little more grown-up and dependable was wonderful. The seasonal food is always a highlight, and Mugi’s witty remarks are something I personally look forward to every time.”

Harada Taizo (Ellis): “I’m glad to return to the world of Tengu no Daidokoro for Season 3. I hope viewers can share in the warmth of family and the importance of food through this story.”
