Fans of WIND BREAKER have something exciting to look forward to this summer. A brand-new merchandise line featuring original artwork themed around hanabi (hand-held fireworks) is set to go on sale at Animate stores and its online shop from Friday, 21 August 2026.
About WIND BREAKER
WIND BREAKER is a yankii manga by Nii Satoru, currently serialised on the Magazine Pocket app from Weekly Shonen Magazine. The story follows first-year high schooler Sakura Haruka, who arrives at the notorious delinquent school Furin High aiming to reach the top, only to discover that its students form a group called Bofurin (防風鈴) — protectors of the local town — and ultimately joins their fight.
The series was adapted into a TV anime with Season 1 airing in April 2024 and Season 2 following in April 2025. A live-action film also opened in December 2025. Since March 2026, the largest original-art exhibition in the franchise’s history, WIND BREAKER 5th ANNIVERSARY EXHIBITION, has been running to mark five years of the manga.
New Artwork and Product Line-up
The new goods use specially drawn illustrations depicting five characters enjoying hand-held sparklers together: Sakura Haruka, Suo Hayabusa, Kiryu Mitsuki, Kaji Ren, and Umemiya Hajime. The summer-date atmosphere is captured across a variety of items.
