About Tenmaku no Jādūgal
Tenmaku no Jādūgal is a historical manga by Tomato Soup, serialized in Akita Shoten’s Souffle magazine. Set in 13th-century Mongolia, the story follows Sitara (Fatima), a former slave taken captive by the Mongol Empire, who crosses paths with Doregene, the sixth wife of the Mongol Emperor — a woman with her own complicated feelings toward the empire. Together, the two use their wits to shake the foundations of the imperial court in a tale of intrigue and survival.
The TV anime adaptation began airing on July 4, 2026, with Yamada Naoko serving as chief director, Abel Gongora as director, and animation produced by Science SARU — the studio behind Dandadan, Heike Monogatari, and Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!
