The first volume of 「月見野カルマはあくまで僕のペットなのに」 (Tsukimino Karma wa Akumade Boku no Pet na noni), a new romantic comedy manga by artist Hoppege (ほっぺげ), went on sale today, August 17, 2026, published by Takeshobo.
Synopsis
When a boy named Fudo Ryo is nearly struck by a truck, he is saved by his classmate Tsukimino Karma. Wanting to thank her, Ryo goes looking for her at school — but things quickly spiral out of control. Tsukimino happens to have received a love letter and mistakenly assumes Ryo sent it. She reveals to him that she is actually a demon, and attempts to erase his memory to keep her secret safe. However, Ryo turns out to have a natural ability to repel magic, making it impossible for her spells to take effect no matter how many times she tries.
In a panic, Tsukimino unleashes a flurry of spells — only for a “turn into a pet” spell to bounce back and hit herself. From that moment on, the story follows the unlikely romantic comedy between a demon girl who has become a pet and the ordinary boy who accidentally became her owner.
