TV anime Tempal ~The Power of Items~ (テムパル～アイテムの力～) is set to premiere on October 2 on TOKYO MX and BS11, airing every Friday at 23:30. The production has released a wave of new information: six additional cast members, a second promotional video, a second key visual, and the opening and ending theme songs.

Story

Based on source material with art by Team Argo, story adaptation by Monohumbug (REDICE STUDIO), and a novel by Saenal, the series is set inside the VR game world of SATISFY. Protagonist Greed obtains a legendary item and undergoes a job change to become the “Descendant of Fagma,” a mythical blacksmith, using his item-crafting abilities to rise to the top in this fantasy action story.

New Cast Members

The following voice actors have been announced for members of the Tsedaka Guild:

The second PV features the powerful members of the Tsedaka Guild, including Jishka, and packs in the turbulent developments surrounding Greed. The new key visual places Greed at the center wielding a greatsword, surrounded by the Tsedaka Guild members.

Theme Songs

The opening theme is “SATISFY” by Re:name, and the ending theme is “Ray of Emotion” by Douou (導凰). A portion of “SATISFY” can be heard in the second PV.

Re:name vocalist Kazunari Takagi commented that he channeled Greed’s spirit of fighting against the “reality” of adversity and aiming to turn his life around, setting it to a fast-paced modern rock sound. The lyric “To satisfy my life” ties directly into the in-story VR game SATISFY, and he hopes the song will push listeners forward.

Cast Comments

Riho Sugiyama (Jishka) said she was moved by the incredible energy packed into every episode, to the point of being genuinely emotional that it was actually going to air. She and the cast gave their all in recording sessions, and she invites fans to pay attention to Jishka — a brave, strong, and cool woman who leads the Tsedaka Guild.

Masaaki Mizunaka (Tovan) said he found himself drawn to Greed’s charm at every recording session — his witty dialogue, his bold actions, and his legendary “Descendant of Fagma” title. He’s looking forward to fans seeing the action scenes and is excited for Tovan’s role to unfold.

Ko Bongohara (Regas) described Regas as simply a great guy: strong yet humble, polite to everyone including Greed, and muscular to boot — exactly the kind of friend you’d want. He highlighted Regas’s battle scenes as the key thing to watch.

Katsuya Fukunishi (Bentoner) described his character as a large man who wields twin axes and serves as the lively, energetic presence among the Tsedaka Guild. He encouraged viewers to watch how each guild member discovers Greed’s appeal.

Kohei Amasaki (Fon) said that from the moment he read the source material he wanted to see it realized in high-quality animation, and the finished footage exceeded his expectations. He urged fans to look forward to how Fon fits into the story.

Shunichi Toki (Faker) acknowledged that the concept of a protagonist who rises through item-crafting might raise eyebrows, but assured fans that Greed is the real deal — someone who strives, stumbles, and grows. As for Faker, he’s a man of few words, but with a strong presence.

Advance Screening Event

On September 13, episodes 1–3 will be screened in advance at Ikebukuro HUMAX Cinemas in Tokyo. A talk show featuring Tatsumaru Tachibana (Greed), Asami Seto (Yura), and Riho Sugiyama (Jishka) will follow the screening. Tickets go on sale online via the Ikebukuro HUMAX Cinemas website at midnight on August 19, with box-office sales beginning August 20 if online stock remains.
